| Who
is Regan Burns?
He's an actor, writer, father, husband, lover,
mathematician, stamp collector, activist, Xtreme Sport participant,
boxer/brief wearing man. Ok, maybe not a lover.
After graduating from Radford University in Southern Virginia with a
Theatre degree, it was off to New York City where he attended the American
Academy of Dramatic Arts. A couple of years later, Regan found himself in
Los Angeles beginning the long, arduous task of working for "the man"
while trying to get his big break. Ok, any break.
Regan took to the stages of L.A., appearing at The Groundlings, Acme
Comedy, HBO Workspace, Attic Theatre, West End Playhouse, Improv Olympic
and The Zephyr, to name a few. OK, to actually name all of them.
Then came T.V. Regan has enjoyed recurring roles on ABC’s Rodney, Once &
Again, Fox’s Titus, CBS’s The Ellen Show and Showtime's Rude Awakening.
Other appearances include Curb Your Enthusiasm, Without a Trace, Malcolm
in the Middle, The District, CSI and The Drew Carey Show, just to name a
few. Having appeared in over 60 commercials, Regan often wonders, "what is
there that's left to sell?" He was also the host/writer of the Spike TV
game show Oblivious. The show ran for two seasons and allowed him to use
his improvisational skills to their fullest. His new show on Comedy
Central, entitled Halfway Home, is scheduled to begin airing sometime in
the coming year.
Regan currently resides in the "burbs" of Los Angeles with his lovely
wife, son, and daughter. He is not allowed past 100 feet of his
home, due to the ankle bracelet.
